An inexpensive router where you can install linux or a similar operating system?
Good afternoon,
I'm looking for an inexpensive router (name) in which you can install Linux or similar DD-WRT or openWRT firmware, I'm tired of advertising on YouTube, I want to ban it on all devices
Can anyone suggest a solution, so far I've found two options
1. make the root of the TV
2 buy a linux compatible router and add advertising domains to the routes to ban
them Maybe there are other options ?

There is. It's called Mikrotik.
Or - make a router based on raspberry pi
Or - buy a subscription for 200r .... (there seems to be up to 6 devices there?) Like a cup of coffee, or a pack of cigarettes, or a shawarma ...
Perhaps the pihole project will help you - it is put on a raspberry, a little dreary, but quite workable). I'm not sure that there are routers with pure Linux, and dd / open wrt compatible routers can be found on their websites. If you just want to ban some addresses, then I think almost any router can handle it.
Either a subscription to Premium (199 R/month), or...
There is such a thing SmartTube Next Beta
Download it .apk, install and enjoy life without ads...
There is no way to block ads in YouTube apps.
To raise something like a pihole or the like, well, to be honest, it also doesn’t really make much sense, dns from adguard can more than adequately cope with this, which can be registered even on the router, or personally on the piece of iron you need.
But if you really want your own "server \ combine" then the following options:
1) single-board and use it as a router and server. It will not look very aesthetically pleasing, it will be connected to a network card via usb
2) A router stitched under *wrt is cool, but not so convenient in practice. Resources are few, packages are also few.
3) As a mikrotik router and as a separate single-board server.
As good iron, again, I can recommend mikrotik. Many are sewn under openwrt, have good gigabit ports, are not picky about food, and most importantly, a lot of RAM and ROM. Often they also have usb c microsd.
For a couple of years now I have a bunch of Mikrotik hap ac2 and 2 pieces of raspberry pi4 (4GB RAM version). Mikrotik drives the network, on the raspberries there is arch and a small amount of all sorts of tricks for the home network.
I suggest not to suffer garbage and not watch YouTube. The cheapest - something like tp-link 741 used to cost around $10.
Just buy a subscription.
The money you are going to spend on the router will last for several months (the first month is free).
In addition, buying a router is not enough - you still have to spend time setting it up, and the result is not guaranteed.
Buy any pi (orange pi raspberry pi), install raspberrypi os, or whatever, install adguard (for me it is friendlier than pichol, it is set by running the script), specify it as the main dns and you will be happy, and you can still tie hard to the pie and watch movies from it when I forgot to pay for the Internet :)
I myself use it in conjunction: Mikrotik + Raspberrypi 3B + Smart tv + a bunch of smartphones = cuts not all but most of the ads, which I am infinitely happy about :)
