An external USB 3.0 hard drive only works via USB 2.0. How to fix?
External USB 3.0 hard drive : Silicon-Power Diamond D05 1TB
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-PH67A-UD3
System : Windows 7
There are two USB 3.0 ports on the back of the system unit. When connected to a USB 3.0 port, the Silicon-Power Diamond D05 1TB external hard drive is not detected, but the rotation of the disk inside is felt. When connected to USB 2.0 - it works. Tried in both existing USB 3.0. Unsuccessfully.
USB 3.0 performance check : I take an HP SimpleSave Desktop 3TB external hard drive and connect it to USB 3.0 - it works.
Attempts to solve the problem :
1) I read about the lack of energy. Unplugged DVD-RW drive. Repeated the connection without it - does not work.
2) Reinstalling the driver - USB 3.0 NECRenesas Host Controller Driver for Windows 7 - does not work.
3) Checking on a laptop with USB 3.0 support - it works .

Moskus for the correct question #2.
The way to solve the problem is through one place familiar to all of us. In general, if the device detection via usb 3.0 does not want to work normally, and it is inconvenient to climb and connect to usb 2.0, then, gently, slowly insert the cable not completely into the device socket, wait until it is finally detected normally, and then we go deep to the end. The device was determined, everything works plugged into usb 3.0, but in fact the work is carried out as through usb 2.0.
