An example of a player from github and its alteration, what are the pitfalls?

I want to add several functions to this player https://github.com/googlesamples/android-Universal... Since I
first learned about GitHub and have no idea how the whole thing is licensed, there were questions:
an example in my own way and upload it to the Store, and let's say it will be paid, then part of the profit to the creator of the repository?
2. If I just use part of the code of this application, is it also part of the profit for the creator?
3. If I just copy and don’t prescribe the license lines as if I wrote it all myself, and the example on Google’s github is just an example and there is no need for any bureaucracy, will they immediately accept me as a cop?

And it all started with my question Is it possible to stream audio from a smartphone to an Android smartphone?

And what's the problem with reading the license itself?
www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0
There is also 1 paragraph of really important text.
You may reproduce and distribute copies of the Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You meet the following conditions
: Type do what you want, but include this license, if there is then NOTICE and indicate which files have changed.
About the cop, as I understand it, this is such a joke, but if it’s still serious, then probably the maximum that the failure to comply with the terms of the license threatens is deleting the application from the store and blocking the developer’s account. Well, it's just ugly, fu do it.
