An application that shows the employment of a cafe

Dear habravchan, I thought to make an application that will show how busy this or that cafe in your city is. Of course, the menu can also be attached here, but the primary purpose is the workload. What for? I don’t know about you, but I often get the idea to visit a cafe spontaneously. And it would be very nice to get a mobile phone, look at a cafe in the area and evaluate where and how many places are free at the moment. As an addition - the ability to immediately book a table, say, for 15-30 minutes.

What do you think? What pitfalls can be here? How to carry out the process of interaction with the cafe? Through the Internet? Say whatever comes to mind about this idea. Does it have the right to life and embodiment? Your opinion is needed.

And who and how will inform about free places? A specially trained person or sensors in the chairs? unrealistic, IMHO)
the only option in my opinion is an ip camera looking into the hall. looked and appreciated, and called if there are places or just came

It is enough to know how many seats there are in the cafe and set the sensor to track incoming and outgoing visitors. From 2m I think you need to think something, if not invented already.

The issue of automating the accounting of places is bullshit. Almost all self-respecting cafes have a Rkeeper or tillypad similar system. Once the order is placed, the table is occupied. It doesn't take long to write a plugin. I do not think that you will have a system designed for cheap eateries, and in them such systems are gaining popularity.

A similar project, only with slightly expanded functionality, was presented to Moreinis at Startup Weekende in Yekaterinburg. He did not cause a stir.
The main problems are updating information, interaction with the Cafe Administration, and monetization.

IMHO you should not give a damn about 10 vacancies, 5, 7 or 80. Only the fact that there are vacancies for as many people as you are in the company is important. And this is the question that should be asked to your application and forwarded to the nearest cafe. Will they be able to accommodate 6 more people? And highlight in green those who can. Thus, for the establishment, this is target advertising in fact. Payment corresponding to the answer should be.
You can also give a discount to those who come through your application.

The owner of the cafe makes a beautiful sign, an interesting interior, hires a pleasant and polite administrator, a good cleaning lady so that you come into the cafe and appreciate all this. Even if they can’t serve you at the moment, but if you like it, you will come again.
And now he is being asked to agree to a program that will prevent the emergence of new customers who will see on the phone screen that "everything is busy here."

The owners will not be happy to give out information about the number of customers per day to competitors;)
Well, in general, there are problems with collecting information.
