An antivirus for Debian that checks for new files on the fly?
There are several WordPress sites that can potentially be hacked to upload php scripts containing malicious code.
Is there an antivirus that can "on the fly" check new files and remove/rename viruses, as well as prevent malicious code from being written to existing files?

At my work, I use configserver.com/cp/cxs.html
to catch the
usual malware for popular CMSs well.
Real-time protection + regular checks are used (in case the malware was downloaded yesterday and it was added to the antivirus signature database only today)
Viruses are a consequence of a hole and for the project the lesser of two evils. With the help of a hole, they will make an archive of the project and the project database and your entire project will leak to the left.
1. There are no 100% antiviruses.
2. Antiviruses are mainly needed for Windows
3. What you want to protect yourself from is not viruses, but the actions of hackers. So you do not need an antivirus, but a competent security setup, rights / restrictions.
