An alternative to the flashgot add-on?

Good evening! As we know, many add-ons to Mozilla Firefox stopped working with the release of its update (half a year has already passed). On older versions, I used the flashgot add-on, in conjunction with uget and aria2 (on a remote server). Now this great add-on is no longer compatible with the new Firefox. On the addon page, people from all over the world write comments asking the developer to update their addon. But he does not respond to comments, does not release new versions. So I have two questions:
1) Will Flashgot be updated to be compatible with new Firefox?
2) what would you recommend from alternative add-ons to work on the new version of Firefox? Flashgot was needed to download videos and music from sites from which it is impossible to download in the usual way (via a direct link).

Here is the link to the addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/flashgot/

Flashgot analogue
Flashgot performed the function of passing a download link to an external download manager. An alternative with similar functionality was found by extension author Joe Ertaba: https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/user/215904/
Instead of Flashgot, you can use something from the Joe Ertaba set of extensions that pass a direct download link to some managers downloads:
Download with JDownloader
Download with Free Download Manager (FDM)
Download with FlashGet
Download with Download Accelerator Plus
Download with Wget
Download with Aria2 Download Manager
Each manager has its own extension, but due to the fact that in the extension settings you can specify the path to the executable file of the external download manager, you can try to make one of the extensions work with other download managers. For example, I installed the Download with FlashGet extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/downlo... in FireFox instead of FlashGot and in its settings I specified the path to the executable file of the old but working ReGet Deluxe, and this works great!
Versions for different browsers (Chrome, Opera, FireFox) here: https://add0n.com/download-with.html
In addition, the author has extensions that send a direct link to an external player:
Send to VLC (VideoLAN) player
Send to MPV player
Send to Media Player Classic (MPC-HC)
Send to MPlayer media player
Due to the fact that in the extension settings you can specify the path to the executable file, it is possible to send direct links to other players. For example, instead of FlashGot, I installed the Send to VLC (VideoLAN) player extension https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/send-t... in FireFox and in its settings I specified the path to the executable file of the familiar KMPlayer, and it works great!
Versions for different browsers (Chrome, Opera, FireFox) here: https://add0n.com/send-to.html
For all these extensions to work, you additionally need to install a small native client https://outgoing.prod.mozaws.net/v1 /05279625686fa6...
PS For ReGet Deluxe, a partially Russified extension by the same author (apparently a mod) "Download via (Download with) ReGet Deluxe" was found https://yadi.sk/d/MCzMQ8QSS14JRw (small native client must be installed from the same archive for it to work ) )
