What are cheerio alternatives for Node?
Tasks like scraping data, working with DOM, selectors.
I really don't like jQ's syntax.

Why don't you like jquery syntax? Implements regular css selectors...
If you want vanillajs syntax, there is this lib https://github.com/tmpvar/jsdom
