Hello.
Given the growing interest in cryptocurrencies, I decided to beckon litecoin myself. To do this, I am assembling a small farm for 3 R9 280x video cards, but the complexity of mining is constantly growing and someday it will not be profitable, and this farm will become just a gaming machine. This is where the question arose, at first I was going to assemble a system on the FM2 + socket and subsequently put a new Kaveri processor on it. However, the store manager said that these 3 video cards with such processors are useless in games (even when using CrossFire), that it will actually work with only one video card and you need to take only solutions from intel (socket 1150 - i5 or i7).
Please tell me, is this really true or have I been misled?

These "managers in the store" are such managers (I can only imagine highly qualified consultants washing the floors there) ...
But it would be better to take the AM3 + platform. Now put some inexpensive stone, and eventually change it to something top.
