Alternative editor instead of Notepad++ and redit?

Previously, when I was sitting at Windows, I used FileZilla + Notepad ++ for quick viewing (with formatting, highlighting, emmet and other charms), editing files via ftp and then sending them to the server.
Now on a working computer Ubuntu and FileZilla + redit, in this combination it completely solves the tasks I need.
But on a personal MacOS El Capitan laptop, again FileZilla, but there was no intelligible simple editor, maybe it still exists? What will advise?
IDE like editors atom, brakcets don't work, they are too tight for this task. And creating projects for every little thing in phpStorm is not comme il faut.

Trite, but vim. If you do not make it an IDE, then very quickly.
VS Code is also very fast, if you don’t add plugins - on my machines, the speed is comparable to the same Notepad ++.

Почему? Он очень быстро работает, быстро грузится.
Но если вы не переносите IDE, то из текстовых редакторов для разработки я посоветую Visual Studio Code.
