Airsoft hit detection?

What technologies can now be used to detect fire and weapons hitting a person? Laser tag has the only solution, but it has a lot of drawbacks (short distance, often a brittle body kit for the player). Perhaps something interesting has come up?

There is... it's called "Fair Game".
If you feel like you've been hit, stand up, put on the red armband, and go to the dead.

* Includes a delusion generator *
- You can smear all bullets in paint, which, when in contact with the suit, will leave a characteristic color.
- You can take suits from "bolognese" fabric, which will give a sharp sound when it hits the fabric.
- You can write an application that will capture the sounds of a shot. Echolocation rocks!!!
- You can roll a horn with cartridges in radioactive waste. Then, when hit, on the body, there will be a radioactive label.
- You can make a suit out of paper. Then punching paper will trace.
- You can wrap the participant in a suit of wire and give some kind of charge. Shave the balls into metal. paint. Track change in charge??
- Together with the shot, launch a point radio signal with a laser (God, what nonsense I am talking about) and if the participant is in a stealth suit, then the charge will not return.
- maybe it’s worth equipping the suit with plasticine so that all the cartridges stick and you can see them) Pure burdock balls (:
- Maybe there are chemical reagents that would change color from a light blow. Like Berthol salt (:
Well, in general, a walkie-talkie, with ordinary wired headsets rules :)

I have been looking for such a device for a long time, I even made a note in my notebook. but the link is outdated, so search on Google for the phrase “GR-300 sensory vest”

details

If there are no problems with honesty, then it is enough for each player to give a button that he will press as soon as he is killed.
If you still need to check honesty, then, theoretically, you can make equipment that reacts to a strong blow ... But then it can work at the wrong moment, or not work at the right one ... Hitting all places will be very difficult to track: for example, points, or even worse, cheek ...

There were developments for airsoft in this direction, it seems, from the Japanese.

machine guns with a shot of more than 150 m / s. and agree to play in T-shirts;)
I said jokingly (but there is some truth)
I don’t know something convenient and practical - I myself recently thought about it

I don't know, we always play fair.
Although you can come up with bullets the same as in paintball, with paint, or you can mount pressure sensors (all sorts of plates) in your overalls, so when they hit, the contact closes and the light comes on ...

I liked the "button press" option better. Write an application for android / ios in which the “victim” will indicate the fact of a hit, possibly with details (where they hit, where they were, etc., etc.) and the application will send the data to the statistics server. On the other hand, this is airsoft - maybe people are trying to reproduce real military conflicts, and I suggest poking into some kind of phone ...

I support the author in the question, we have had cases when out of 15 meters in an ambush a person allegedly got in, spat, splashed with saliva - he said that he could not miss, while the victim claimed that he did not feel the ball, it came to undressing))
In the building on the contrary, our ricochets against the walls are such that some are recognized as killed, not understanding whether they hit or not.
My friend at tournaments used paint-coated balls, balls were given different colors at the base to different teams, + so-called moderators played in each team, but this was with association + as he said with such balls, the stovolik had to be often lubricated and changed after 10 games .

A useless topic for airsoft, at the moment there is no adequate and affordable solution for such a case. The cheapest balls are in / out / with paint, but then it’s easier for you to switch to paintball, it has been worked out for a long time and then there is not always hope for paint (paintball balls are much larger in caliber and there is a good amount of paint in them, with airsoft balls there may not be marks at all stay). I myself play sports paintball, more than once the thought came to mind about which thread of the sensor in the ammunition for the paint, but it doesn’t make sense, during the tournament everything becomes in the paint - shelters, the field and even on the ammunition the paint is absorbed, here only a person’s glance can determine what it's a splatter and an old stain or hit. at the tournament, by the way, a sports ground for a 5-on-5 game - inflatable figures and 10 judges for 10 players, and then they manage to rub off the paint,

I play laser tag, and even then we manage to cover the sensors, but there is much more honesty than in paintball. but it's best to just play fair =)
