Airport Express 5gen will allow you to print from an iPad to an old epson MFP?

I have an epson stylus photo rx610. I ordered an AirPort Extreme md031 base station.
I would like to just stick it into the usb port of the router and, after setting up the iPad, see it in the list of printers.
I don't have OS X in my family, just a windows laptop and a couple of ios devices.
I ask for advice on how to setup this from a laptop under windows 8. Thank you!

Will not work. To be able to print directly from iOS devices (iPad, iPhone) without unnecessary gestures, the printer must support the Airprint protocol. Until now, the number of such printers is small. But there is a software way to make almost any printer connected to your computer Airprint compatible. In your case, you can (as you wanted) connect the printer to the AirPort Extreme, set it up on the laptop. After that, according to some instructions, install the Airprint program (for example, here ). I have Windows XP with an old Hp network printer installed and everything works fine. You should now be able to print to the printer from your iPad. But the laptop must be turned on for this.
There are also programs in the AppStore that allow you to print directly to any network printer (for example,Print n Share ). But I have not used them, so I do not know about their cons.
