After upgrading to Windows 8.1, Windows Movie Maker projects are not fully displayed?

Updated my computer to Windows 8.1 today. Opened a movie project in Windows Movie Maker, but most of the files in the project won't open. Writes in the status drain writes I am preparing file files, but nothing happens. What to do? Has anyone encountered the same? How to return a project?
