After the expiration of the Apple developer account, the application is removed from the AppStore?

A small free application for IOS was developed and published. Nothing else is planned to be developed. But after the expiration of the account, the application acquired the status "Waiting for the contract" and the AppStore says that the application is "not available in your region". Is this somehow related, or was the app removed for some other reason?

the application is not deleted.
it will not be available for new installations.
but will be available to those who installed while the subscription was active.
