After installing xanmod kernel, the boot hangs on "started hostname service", what should I do?

Installed xanmod via AUR (yay -S linux-xanmod)
Loading stops at "started hostname service", tty works, display does not see
with nouveau it starts, it also starts with default kernel, but I want to try xanmod
Mb driver somehow reinstall? reinstalling via pacman did not help

when loading in the menu, it is rude to select the old kernel - go into the system and read the logs.
