Access to a local resource by public ip?
Prompt in what party to dig in such situation.
On cisco with zone based fw, a port (let's say 80) is forwarded from an external public ip to an internal server. Works properly.
You need to be able to access the server from the local area also by public ip. Is this possible at all, and if so, where to read and see?
Thank you.

If your cisco supports Nat Loopback, then everything should work like that.
It is worth trying to replace / supplement linux with a router or a new cisco.
at the DNS level - for the external zone, give the external IP address, say, the mail.company.com node, for the internal zone - give the server's internal IP address.
with normal certificates - on my laptop that regularly travels to all sorts of guests, mail is correctly displayed both on the web and in Outlook
