Access point choice for a small office in a busy space: Ruckus/Cisco/etc?
In the office space, unstable work remains on all possible 2.4Ghz channels.
For a couple of years, devices of different classes were tested from Asus WL 500g, mikrotik 951g (best) to conditionally enterprise ZyXel NWA1123-NI access points (worst) - none of them excluded the problem. The location of the access points has also changed more than once.
Regardless of the choice of channel, at some point, a significant subsidence of the Internet and packet loss begins: take.ms/EPNjd (data in a meter line of sight under the ceiling access point).
Within a minute or two, the problem disappears just as it appeared.
At 5Ghz, everything works stably and does not flicker at all. Unfortunately, most of the client devices of employees simply do not see it, so switching entirely is not an option.
The hypothesis that someone is shining a powerful device towards the office would look logical, but the picture in the spectrum analyzer does not change if there are/are no problems
: take.ms/oepd8
would be an unknown enemy.
Maybe someone has come across this and knows a suitable point. Maybe basic Ruckus or Cisco Aironet?

5 GHz is not banned in the Russian Federation at all, and there are fewer client devices, because they are usually more expensive.
If the spectrum is littered, nothing will help. Ruckus and aironet should be bought when you know exactly what you need. Of course, you can try Mikrotik with a powerful transmitter, but you need to check. In office buildings in business centers, installing Wi-Fi is not good just because of the polluted spectrum (however, also because of security problems). Options:
1) still switch to wires, it's better and more reliable
2) put points on the periphery with adjacent offices, having previously measured where the sadness is in terms of signal level. It may be necessary to screw in directional antennas.
With a crap channel, the saying applies, more is better. But in this case, we mean not the size but the quantity.
For such advice, I would "slap on the pope." In fact, often the power must be cut on the contrary. It's like with cellular communications: powerful transmitters are placed in the fields and large cells are made (there are few people); in cities, cells are small and low-power transmitters (so that they don’t kill each other).
And yes, most likely you are just suffering because of a mikrotik with a powerful transmitter , because your office neighbor is an idiot.
I had experience setting up Ubiquti and Mikrotik office outlets. From the latter - I placed Mikrotik mAP2n in each room, set up a seamless waffle, cut the power depending on the rooms.
By the way. If everything is working fine, and then suddenly a minute or two of stupid things, then it may very well be that this is still interference from the environment (microwaves, PSUs, air conditioners, heaters, etc.). If the pickups are on the radio, there is almost nothing that can be done, except to get rid of the parasite. There are power issues - high-quality pilots will help here, and even better a UPS. Well, "the earth is visible in the window." By the way, see if you have a voltage on the ground. There are individuals who hang 0 on the ground, then all office equipment goes crazy.
