Accelerated computer time, incorrect operation of the Windows time system
So. Today, when turning on the computer, a big problem was discovered: Everything works at an extremely accelerated pace, the animation is like crazy, the load on the processor also jumps, don't worry, while it is much higher than usual. The clock measures minutes as if it were seconds. (i.e. the minute hand goes like a second, seconds have turned into milliseconds, and hours have turned into minutes, respectively) Sort of forward into the future.
Moreover, when an hour passes (well, that is, now, for example, 11.29, and when the clock reaches 12.29), the time is reset to the present and again in a circle.
From this, of course, not a single program works stably. (Even double-clicking the mouse doesn't work, because it's because of the rapid passage of time, because there is too much time between clicks). Yandexit for this reason is almost impossible. Even an attempt to go to Habr and write this question already takes me almost 10 minutes of real time.
Antivirus: trial KIS. I put the computer to check, but KIS, like all programs, does not work stably, checks very slowly, and counts the end of the check in tens of days (this, of course, despite the fact that the time for a computer goes very quickly, but nevertheless, compared to the normal state, the check still takes 2 times longer)
At the same time, there are no suspicious processes, there is also nothing strange in the windows and windows / system32 directories and there are no files (including hidden ones) newer than the day before yesterday (when windows update was running).
And in general, in recent days I haven’t installed anything at all, I haven’t used any cracks, keygens and other dubious software.
System: windows 7 x64.
Of course, I understand that seven troubles are one format C:, but I would very much like to do without it, especially since there is no distribution kit with windows at hand.
Please suggest what could be the problem and how to solve it.
Clarifications: In the BIOS, the time is running normally. The problem is present both in normal windows startup and in safe mode. Moreover, the problem appears at the very early stage of loading, namely, when the inscription “starting windows” appears and the animation of the OS logo appears. The animation of this logo is already underway at an accelerated pace.
Restoring the system to an earlier period, when everything was fine, also does not bring results.
Thanks to all. The problem was solved, its root is somewhere in the hardware, where exactly, however, is not clear.
The final result of almost daily dances with a tambourine :
1) When loading from LiveCD, time flows normally, no problems were found.
2) Even after formatting, the problem remained, and it appeared during the installation of windows at a very early stage, with an already formatted partition with the previous Windows, and remained after formatting, installing a new system.
3) The problem is therefore hardware, I started to sin on the power supply system. At the same time, the BIOS shows normal (in my opinion) voltage readings on the processor (there should be 5 volts, and the BIOS showed 5.017 somewhere). The temperature was also not high - 63 degrees. At the same time, all 4 processor cores, on my AMD Phemon 9950, without special programs, were loaded by 40 percent or more, and most of the time, above 90%.
4) Completely turning off the computer, uninterruptible power supply (ippon pro 1000) and unplugging it all from the outlet did not help. Problem still exists.
5) It helped to disconnect the computer from the uninterruptible power supply and connect it to the network directly. After that the problem disappeared . However, in order to make sure that the uninterruptible power supply bought 2 weeks ago is malfunctioning, I connected everything back to it, the problem did not appear! Now everything is fine.
6) I HZ what was the problem, in an uninterruptible power supply, a computer power supply or something else, but in fact the problem disappeared by itself.
Hardware savvy people. Please tell me, next time, what software for diagnosing the hardware, input voltage and other things to run and install. After all, despite the fact that the problem has been eliminated, its cause remains unclear. And I would love to find out to prevent in the future! And just so as not to jump around with a tambourine next time almost all day.

So I did not understand Windows accelerated or computer?
Go into the BIOS and see how the time flows there.
I suspect that some kind of glitch with the dynamic overclocking of the processor. Perhaps the system somehow does not work out correctly.
Stas_Telnov - it's a pity that the Internet is also not accelerating, otherwise I would start to envy you
Once such a problem was observed when I added a new memory chip. Swapped it out for another one and it's gone. Maybe there is a connection?
I had this when I put the computer into sleep mode, and after a reboot I overclocked the BIOS in the BIOS, after waking up from sleep mode everything was “smooth”, I even used it to go through difficult moments in games.
Maybe you have something with sleep mode ...
I have never encountered such a problem,
maybe a perverted virus “patched” Windows and left,
I’m very interested in how this can be done,
but in LiveXP time also runs fast?
A friend had the same thing about six months ago on one of the freshly delivered cars. I even took a video on my phone just in case. Moreover, when the system unit was brought to the service and an attempt was made to demonstrate the phenomenon, the situation did not repeat itself, although the computer was turned off / rebooted a dozen times on the spot. So far, the situation has not recurred.
All that was done with the system unit was to turn off the peripherals for transportation to the service.
Saw this yesterday. I immediately thought about the virus, since Avast, when trying to turn on scanning at boot, gave out a blue screen. And avast itself was DISABLED! The monitor went out after 2 seconds, although it should have after 10 minutes! Internet was not working!
The next day I took the computer to the service, so without the Internet I could not do anything. Brought it, and what do you think? Works normally as usual. I never found a clear answer what it was, I found only this entry and a couple more like this.
There is a suspicion that before that I missed a certain process from the bat, he wanted to open a gif in spam. Or I installed the bat with a virus. There are no more assumptions, because the computer worked for 5 years without any viruses. And right now I installed win7 64, since the 32 version is outdated, and added memory. And before the last shutdown, I installed the bat! Another thing that pushes the virus is that Avast did not work and the Internet too.
