A small number of BAD sectors on a disk is a reason to hand it over under warranty?
Hello! A couple of years ago I bought a Seagate sshd 1000lm014 hard drive. It worked well, but the other day the OS hung, and after a reboot, the HARD DISK SANTINEL program showed that the health of the disk was not 100%, but 86%. Writes that no action needs to be taken, but 8 BAD sectors have appeared.
Warranty for the disc is 36 months, the disc works, but these bads are embarrassing. So I think it makes sense to go to the store to take it, and will it be accepted if the disk works and shows a small number of bad sectors?
SMART indicators:
UPD: maybe you could also advise how best to clean up the disk before going to the store, I would not want the contents of the disk to get to other people.
