Task: to filter some content by region. Using maps from Yandex or Google is not very convenient. I found a wonderful example on the Kremlin website below. Maybe someone saw a ready-made solution of this kind that you can use? Preferably in JS or with JS-api.

I had a slightly different issue. I just took google maps, applied styles to it to highlight the borders of states, etc. and drew what I needed on top. Only I had the task of making it work in desktop / ipad browsers
