A platform for mobile interactive directories?

Colleagues, prompt in essence. There are a number of directories (about 10), the main element of which is the determinant - i.e. the user is offered a number of features that he must describe and, as a result, get one of the elements of the directory that fits these features.
Now I have implemented all this on HTML5, but even the simplest reference book (of 40+ elements) when scrolling on SGS2 OBVIOUSLY slows down. I'm afraid to imagine what will happen to the reference book of 200 elements.
How can such an application be implemented (preferably cross-platform, although this is no longer important) - i.e. a set of forms, a set of pages (interactive - sound, video, etc.) that will be issued according to the description of the forms or exist independently? Or is it personally my crooked implementation on HTML5 and nothing should slow down?
