A non-burning tip does not melt solder - CHYADNT?
Recently I bought myself a goot cxr-41 soldering iron on the recommendation for soldering small components (MK), for which the old Soviet noname with a copper tip was not suitable.
The problem is that already the second tip ceases to work normally after half an hour of use - it has darkened, practically does not melt the solder and, moreover, does not hold it. At the same time, the part of the tip closer to the base melts the solder instantly. this situation is repeated with both the SB and 2C tips. The sting is original Goot with markings.
The sting was cleaned with a damp sponge. (PS soldering experience is very modest)
Please tell me - what am I doing wrong?
PS It seems that the soldering iron is defective and overheats the tip.

In fact, a fairly common problem and everything is googled with half a pint

For example

All those wet sponges are rubbish compared to bronze shavings.
Well, good flux \ rosin did not bother anyone, you need to look.
This is in addition to the above. About a dimmer to lower the temperature - as they advise here on one of the links - it's not very clear, Goot seems to have its own regulator, and you can't use normal lead-free solders with a cool soldering iron ...
