A gsm mobile phone with the best signal reception for the forest?

I work in places where it is difficult to receive cellular communications, I noticed a feature that old phones and Chinese phones receive a signal where they stop "seeing" smartphones. There is only one operator in our area. Googling found phones with an external antenna: explorer a8 explorer n98, but the antenna seems to be used for CDMA. Tell me similar phones with an antenna for GSM. Or modern phones with an antenna connector (as in modems).

I don’t remember specific brands for a long time, but the essence is this:
about 5-6 years ago, a stationary gsm phone and a 18dB (or 13?) directional gsm antenna gave a confident reception (3 antenna divisions) where ordinary mobile phones could not do anything at all (extremely difficult conditions).
And do not forget about the maximum range of the base (like 30 km) - further time lags already interfere.

It's easier to use an antenna.
Some older models have a connector for it.
