5.1 in Raspberry PI?

Making a crazy house on Raspberry PI 4 4GB. I want to connect 5.1 speakers to it. There is an external sound card Creative Omni. Run? Won't pedal?
And what the hell is going on with 5.1 speakers now? I thought to connect via SPDIF cable, but figuratively speaking, there are three acoustics with SPDIF, two of them for a thousand bucks. What is now connecting the speakers and the sound card? I don’t want to pull tulips (the server is on the second floor, the speakers will be on the first)
