The paranoid in me needs extra security, keys like yubikey seem like a pretty good native security option. Who worked with them? Conveniently? Reliable? Are there analogues? Where can I buy? How much are?

I can say about convenience - you constantly have to look for it at the most inopportune moment. I want to push changes - oops, the key is to get up, rummage through jeans, etc. :)
Well, of course, this does not replace the existing authorization method, but as an addition to it. Did you steal your notebook bag? Most likely the key is in the same place.
In general, in my opinion, it is not very worth it, I would refuse if I could.

Thank you for responding, I read the instructions and found the answer to my question:

1. The resulting character sequence is converted back into a byte string.
2. The byte string is decrypted using the same 128-bit AES key
(symmetric encryption algorithm).
3. The checksum is checked. If it is incorrect, the one-time password is rejected.
4. Next, additional fields are checked. If they fail verification, the one-time
password is rejected.
5. Next, the session counter readings are compared with previously obtained values. If
the value is less than or equal to the previous reading, the one-time password is rejected
(as resubmitted).     
6. If the value is greater than the previous one, the received value is saved and the one-time
password is accepted.
