Youtube got it with its ads. How to securely block?
Previously, it was enough to ban one IP address in the router and voila. However, progress does not stand still, adblock and other tools do not help. Who fights off intrusive advertising?
Youtube, if you read this, try not to be intrusive. Yes, advertising brings money, without it, in any way, well, make a ticker or banners, or a hundred thousand more options. But I don't want to see an advertisement for a funeral home before watching my favorite video.
Greed has ruined many businesses, and now I know how it does it.

Chrome, Adblock and Adblock plus. There are no ads on YouTube.
I don't use youtube player. I use a self-written script that launches a YouTube video in mplayer. But this is for Linux users. As a result, I see ads only on the tablet.
Initially, the reason for the script was that on a netbook, even 240p in a flash slows down. And in mplayer 720p falls short.
Yes, there is a paid plugin, (for chrome) I can't find the name. It doesn't seem to work well, since I don't remember the last time I saw an ad.
On Opera - ExtendTube , on Chrome - YouTube Options for Google Chrome full version (an incomplete one is available in the extension store, i.e. without the ability to download videos). Thanks to these extensions, I haven’t watched ads either on YouTube itself or in videos for a long time.
I regularly sit on YouTube, there are no plugins for chrome at all. I'm used to not noticing ads, probably ...
Share the link, I have never seen an ad on youtube on my computer ... I'm sitting in FX with AdBlock and flashblock enabled. There is no desire to put experiments to find out the reasons. html5 is activated on youtube, but sometimes (especially via external links) I watch flash videos. I have never had an ad in a video.
