Do it yourself

Your radio, how?

I apologize for the slightly illogical hubs, but I did not find anything more suitable.
So, it caught fire for me to make my own radio. No special bells and whistles are needed, so I immediately weeded out large and monstrous scripts. But I can't find something simple.
Ideally, if you can simply insert a list of links to mp3 files from VKontakte, and have them play randomly or according to the list. If you can’t with VKontakte, then you can simply from any server. In general, it doesn’t really matter where the songs will come from, any option is suitable (naturally, only the option is needed for me to add and select songs myself).
I repeat that the script is needed as simple as possible. Even if it will eat a lot of resources, it does not play a special role.
Any ideas, Habr?

Well, if you make radio, then make it. Here is a free radio station www.sourcefabric.org/en/airtime . Everything your heart desires with a webcam. It is put with two clicks in ubuntu and is understandable. From a contact, you simply upload the script and it downloads files from the contact to a folder for you, and then add them to the playlist via the webcam and at the right time.

It is very easy to write a Python script to get tracks from VKontakte. It's already on the hub . I took the script from this post and modified it for Python 3 by wrapping everything in a class. Next, search Google for "Python Icecast Streaming". Here is the first link that popped up for me.

If we abstract from VK, then icecast + ices is quite feasible, icecast can work in repeater mode.

I use icecast + liquidsoap - nothing complicated.
