Yii2 or Laravel?
Which is better for big yii or laravel project?
I know kohana.
The choice of a framework for a new project is entrusted to me.
After my start, the project will be finalized by other programmers.
I don't want to make the wrong choice.
Which framework will be easier to work with in a team.
There will be a lot of code.
The project is huge.
Caching, optimization in the foreground.
I started learning yii1 and somehow I don’t like it, it doesn’t work.
I understand everything and the structure too, but how is it all complicated or am I wrong?
In general, advice is needed on the example of personal experience.
I have a week of time.

Try both and decide for yourself. I can reasonably persuade you to choose any of these two frameworks, but you will continue to suffer “if I made a mistake” until you try both.
If the hands are from the right place, then in one day you can throw a small project on Yii2, and in the second day on Laravel. Play around with caching, see how it works and make a choice.
In addition, another day out of the 7 allotted to you can be spent reading a dozen similar questions, a dozen articles telling the advantages and disadvantages of these frameworks.
Or do you want someone to make the decision for you? So let me accept -- start a Yii2 project.
Who is cooler Terminator or Spiderman??
There are already a lot of holivars on this topic on the toaster:
Why is Laravel better than Yii: how to convince the team?
What is the performance of yii2 and laravel?
Which framework is better for a beginner, Laravel or YII?
Laravel4 or Yii 2: advantages and disadvantages, what do you think?
I tried both Yii and Laravel
In my opinion, Laravel is easier, as it is very similar to Codeigniter.
But Yii has a lot out of the box. Gii, CRUD.
And now I'm doing a project on laravel and it's very lazy to write with pens what is generated in Yii in a couple of minutes.
Not bad reasoned in the second part of the article .
For myself, I opted for Yii2 and have no regrets!
And I made a choice and stayed on Yii, the first frame was CI, but as soon as I got to know Yii, life changed :)
I mean, everyone should choose and decide for himself what he needs.
In a week, understanding Yii and making a finished project is nowhere easier, in laravel / symfony it is very difficult.
Of the minuses on larik.
1 blade templates in the IDE for the storm were absent until the beginning of September 2014 for PHPShtorm
2 It annoys me to describe routers with methods, the voice is lost in the search for the right class and method, everything somehow does not look compact.
Perhaps my negative is related to larik with stupid packages (laravel administarator) and the code that I got for support.
of course yii2 is cooler. but still need to learn laravel
