XML/XSD/UML

Advise GNU softinku for such transformations.
Tried Umbrella, StarUML.
Heard about the plugin for Eclipse...
Is there a similar one for NETBeans?

If eclipse:

  1. Eclipse XML Editors and Tools
  2. Eclipse XSL Developer Tools
  3. XSD - XML Schema Definition SDK
  4. Model Development Tools (MDT) - UML2

You can start the transformation process by selecting the desired xsl file and then Run -> Run As -> XSL Transformation.
Now for the UML:
  • The proposed UML2 allows it to work, BUT " Although MDT/UML2 provides the metamodel, it does not provide UML modeling tools themselves " => most likely not needed in this case
  • There is no normal free UML modeler, especially for eclipse ( the key is highlighted, I will not argue on this topic ).
  • Look at SDE for Eclipse - paid, it integrates perfectly with eclipse, you need to get a trial key once a month (I stopped on it myself )
