XML generation. How can XSD help?

I welcome everyone. There is a certain set of data, you need to generate xml files from it. Previously, if you had to write something in xml , then you wrote nodes and so on directly in lines to the file (because those were some little things). So, according to the data set, there is xsd . Never encountered this before. The question is, how can xsd make it easier to write to the actual file? Or is it for other purposes?
