XenForo? Or how to choose the most appropriate system for the task?
For one idea (project) I choose CMS. This is essentially a forum, but with some non-standard elements for a forum such as phpBB (which I have been actively using as a forum script for a long time).
For example, in addition to the forum itself, where the message goes after the message, I would like to have some blogs highlighted, something like diaries, when the user's initial message is highlighted in a separate post, and the rest leaves comments on it (this is not the case in phpBB). But at the same time, there should be an ordinary familiar forum.
XenForo looks very promising, but it has problems with updates, the developers are suing the company they left and took the experience and ideas for XenForo... Should this be considered a serious criterion? Suddenly the project will be closed-abandoned completely? Or in any case, will it somehow live, for example, by going to open-source? All of a sudden, who knows?
I looked towards LiveStreet yet, but have not yet formulated my attitude towards it. There forums are secondary, in the form of a module, or there is integration with phpBB, for example (I don’t know how it works).
In principle, practically what I need in terms of functionality is: do4a.com/
I found this site in one of the posts on Habré with a story about XenForo customization. (I wrote questions to the author in a personal)
What would you advise me, colleagues, from scripts for deploying such a project? Thank you in advance.

Choose XenForo. The developers have been suing for two years now. The project will never end anyway.
