Would you like to ask a question to the Toaster administration?

Recently, in my posts on Habré, I began to notice a lot of ambiguous comments that just incite to discuss.
As an experiment, today I suggest that anyone who wants to communicate with the administration of the project, use the answers and comments on this question to ask a question directly to Toaster's PM, that is, me.
UPD: I spent 6 wonderful hours with you and got good feedback. I return to the current work, those questions that I have not yet answered (or that will be asked later) - I will answer as far as possible. Thanks to all.

The service does not have enough minuses for answers. It happens that a not very experienced person posts a bad answer, which seems to work, but is a very bad solution. The most interesting thing is that such answers often gain pluses. If it were possible to put a minus, I'm sure they would have been minus and would not confuse people who faced a similar problem.
UPD: I wrote about the Favorites tab in the comments to the question.

There are erroneous (or, well, very crooked) answers marked with a solution.
There is no tool to influence this - only caustic and powerless comments (

It would be nice to be able to pin in my profile not the most liked answers, but those that I myself chose. So that there are serious answers to difficult questions (which not many people can check out), and not philosophical reflections and well-chosen references.

Here, too, I do not like the removal of questions marked "it is impossible to give an unambiguous answer."
It happens that you write a couple of kilobytes of text in an attempt to help a person, you post - but the question is gone.
Maybe create a separate section and move such questions there?

Regarding the waving of the banhammers, they seemed to have talked on Habré. But to fix it here: do not ban for a week - but a warning. I've been here for a couple of years and stupidly forgot about the story with links. You sent me to the ban for a week. And still, despite my letter with an attempt to understand the situation and my confession that I forgot about the links, nothing has changed (here it is loyalty). If they just wrote out before - I would read and remember your rules.
But - and so that I would see all my previous and weekly bans in my personal account - those that are overdue. People unwittingly forget anyway.
2. These notifications - I want to kill them by clicking on the cross https://yadi.sk/i/vfe7nMW33UqL44(without going anywhere) well, or group them into one with an indication of the number. Three times the same thing - well, honestly, I don't care who liked the answer. But I want to see the number.
3. Mark answer as solution is a welcome option for third party users. Indeed, decisions are often not marked as such.
4. Mark the author of the question in the comments - it is not always clear what you are answering and entered into a dialogue with a random passerby. Why waste time on it. Let him create his own question.
5. When I go from VK to interesting questions (namely, are these reposted there?), I often see that the question has been deleted. Something must be done about this. Do you have a question or ban service? If the question gathers an audience - why cut the branch?
6. Add a complaint - "this is not a complete answer seasoned with a link". I often give complete answers and then provide a link. But some just throw a link with malicious "googled for you"

I rarely ask questions, but the last time I encountered the fact that the service requires you to end the title with a question mark.
IMHO, idiocy and provocation of illiterate constructions like "Make the feature I need?". Recommendations are great, but coercion is stupid.

Add a "Chat" or "Communication" section where questions removed from the main feed due to 'Leads to discussion or argument' will be moved. Now they are physically removed, but in vain - they could add traffic to the resource) The
toaster will remain a technical resource and the questions will not be mixed, but a new fun section will appear)

For notifications. When subscribing to a question / when commenting on your answer / when answering your question, etc. notifications appear. And they are very helpful. So, when you click on any notification, the rest related to the same answer / question, etc., remain active, which is very annoying. You need to poke at each of the notifications so that they are marked as read. Or go to the page with all notifications, which is also not very convenient, and mark "Read all" there. But then everything that is logical is marked as read, and not just those that relate to a specific answer / question, etc. Is it possible to fix this? Thank you.

Sometimes "The correct answer is the solution" is written in the comments, under the main question. I suggest giving the opportunity to mark this as a "solution". Next to the "like" button, add "Mark as solved". Add a green checkmark next to this comment and next to the comment button. And mark in the list of questions as the answer.
Added. Second suggestion.
Sometimes questions may not have a completely accurate and direct answer, some reasoning and expressing thoughts on the issue, and so on. Defendant disputes. I propose to give the opportunity to mark this topic as a solution, but not with a green tick, but with a green chat icon.

As a "code writer" I'm concerned about two things:
1) Will there be an inline jsfiddle like Stackoverflow does? With console display.
2) Keyboard shortcuts. There are not enough banal keyboard shortcuts like:
It is clear what you can do in your text editor, and then copy it here. But indents are not always copied normally (CTRL + { would help here), and often too lazy to start the editor (or not possible).
3) Also missing is a plain text keyboard shortcut to make selected text bold CTRL+B, italic CTRL+I, etc. You have to do it with the mouse.
4) There is not enough tag to strike through the text.
5) Possibility for users with a certain rating in a certain tag, to mark the answer as "correct" in a post with in this certain tag. Many here write about automatic determination by the number of likes, or by voting, but it will be more correct this way, because. Humorous responses that are rated only because of a joke will not be flagged. Can also be done by voting, but by experts in this tag. But there is a risk that non-popular questions will not be flagged. only one expert will enter. Well, or a trite die when entering the site "2 weeks have passed since your question, select the correct answer.
6) I would like a system of response snippets, or a microblog. Often it turns out that you have to answer the same questions, or supplement your answer with your old answer (and look for it for a long time), but there is no blog. It would be possible to make a public microblog with a rating in the user profile, which would contain some answers, interesting things, short lessons, etc. It seems there is a habr, but there the level is many times higher.
PS: There were two things, then I played something :-)
UPD:
7) There is not enough numbering of lines in the code to refer to them in the text of the answer.

Question 1:
When will you fix the problem with sticking punctuation marks at the ends of links to the links themselves (especially periods, parentheses and commas)? Of course, they may well be part of the link, but no madman actually makes such links.
I wrote about the problem many years ago via the feedback form.
There was even a question from @karaboz after that
How to solve the problem with htmlpurifier, which adds a dot to the link, following it, but marking the end of the sentence?
The problem has not been solved so far
Question link problem demonstration?
UPD
Question 2:
Maybe you should add a bot like on www.cyberforum.rufor auto-replies? Only pick out keywords from the body of the question and not from the title (as it happens now in the hints to the title of the question) using some https://tech.yandex.ru/tomita/ .
UPD2
Question 3:
Maybe we should give the opportunity to invite more tag specialists with higher ratings and achievements? Achievements in the profile are, of course, fashionable and youthful, but I would like a real benefit.

1. We need the ability to mark the "solution" to everyone, and not just the author of the question. By analogy with "correct the question" - anyone can do this, not just the author.
2. Someone (1) asked a question. Someone (2) answered it. I commented on an answer to a question (i.e. I am not an automatic subscriber to either the question or the answer) and someone (3) wrote a reply to my comment, but without hitting the "reply" button. As a result, I never received a notification that I was asked about something in the comments.
I have already taught myself that in the comments you must first click on the "reply" button so that the name appears, then the participant in the comment will receive a notification. But there are a lot of people who don't, and as a result, many questions in the comments remain unanswered.
Therefore, you need to add the option "notification about the answer in other people's questions and answers on which I wrote a comment"
3. You need a comment tree, like in Habré, or a link to the top comment (like on the forums), to which the bottom answer is given. Otherwise, in discussions of 10+ comments, it is already very difficult to understand who answered what to whom and to which comment.
4. What does the "like" mark in the comments affect? There are no notifications about this, how it affects the rating is also not clear.
UPD.
5. Need the option "write in a personal". There is such a thing on Habré, you can clarify something or communicate with someone separately, this is not enough here.
UPD-2.
6. Need an option to "notify subscribers when a comment has changed" (same as done with the "reply" itself). Quite often, you need to supplement or change your comment so that other participants in the discussion know about it.
Now I have to delete a comment, and then through the "reply" add nicknames of other people so that they receive notifications, and write the same comment, but with changes.
UPD-3.
7. Ability to receive all notifications on all comments of all answers of an interesting question. Right now, only new replies to a signed question are notified, not any comments.
8. Markdown buttons in the mobile version. I have a large screen, I don't feel sorry for the place, but manually writing blockquote, / blockquote is not convenient.

There is not enough black list, you have to keep it "on paper". With some comrades, there is no desire to communicate so much that I never answer a question if they participate in the discussion. Moreover, I would even make several levels of "radicality"
- do not show questions if they are from [name]
- do not show questions if they are from [name], [name] answered or participates in the discussion
- do not show questions if they are from [name], [name] has responded or is participating in the discussion and will not allow [name] to answer my questions or participate in the discussion
UPD: Color-code the question author's post in the question thread

In the context of the struggle for useful content, it is probably worth starting to more diligently clean up questions whose only meaning is telepathy. That is, "how to understand what the designer had in mind", "how to understand what the supervisor had in mind." In the vast majority of cases, the only possible answer is to ask the designer or supervisor first.
And on the requirement that the title of the question be a question - I fully support keeping that requirement. It makes the author think with his head and formulate the question briefly, which is absolutely always possible. If the author failed, this already characterizes the quality of the issue and makes it possible not to waste time on it.

And let's in the title of the question, next to the name of the author, show how many questions the author asks on average per day and what percentage of accepted answers for all the time. 2. You can ask a new question only if you have chosen the correct answers from previous questions that are more than a week old
3. After 24 hours, the active button to raise the question
4. If the question does not violate any laws of the Russian Federation, but simply violates the rules of the Toaster, then can such a question be hidden from the list (from other users), and not deleted? those. the author will be able to see his question at home, see the answers that they managed to write and of course the reason why they removed it from the list.

Do something * with ... so that "every day, every other day sometimes not once", questions like "laptop for a developer / programmer / developer" and "monitor for a developer / designer / front-end worker" in all possible variations do not bother you. Sometimes you come in to tell this... idiot "whatever you think of him", so right under his question is exactly the same question, often with answers. It makes you want to grab by the scruff of the neck and poke your face into the monitor with your muzzle - on, read, eared lamer!
* anything easier than looking for links to the same questions every time. As an option, a semantic search before sending a question or bot answers, as on some "computer sites", like - "Similar questions ...", "Reading may help you ..."

There is a PPA on Habré, but what kind of reward system do you have, but not for the authors of the questions, but for those who answer the questions? Do you plan to introduce payment for answers or, for example, a donation banner button, or something similar?
Of course, this is not about every respondent, but about those whose answer is recognized as the best or has collected a certain number of pluses and views.
For those who ask questions, their desire to try to write the question in the most detailed, detailed and correct way is understandable, but what should motivate those who answer, what is the benefit for them to answer in detail and detailed, and indeed to answer?

The following case concerns me:
I often use the 'Unanswered' question filter. And very often then, when I open a question, I observe that in the comments under the question there is a discussion of 100500 messages and the correct answer is given there . At the same time, there is no answer to the question and probably will never appear, because. it is given in the comments.
As a result, the 'No answer' filter is practically useless

In the form of a complaint to a question, far from everything that is prohibited by the rules is listed. Moreover, the selection is somewhat one-sided. And what is this "other"? Is this another item not listed above? Or is it another reason that is not in the rules at all ..?
I propose to make a drop-down list of all the prohibiting rules that are currently relevant, or at least add a text field as the last paragraph (instead of this incomprehensible "other") in order to drive in the appropriate paragraph of the rules by hand.
