Working with Google Maps API v2 for Android?

I am writing an application for android using Google maps api v 2. I received the key, I am making a signature. Maps work in debug, and a gray map in release. There are Zoom in / zoom out buttons, a Google icon, but no maps. Help to understand, please.

You get a release key, build apk with the key file for which you received the release key.
Perhaps you are building with a debug key, or you forgot to change the key in the manifest ─ this is the first thing that comes to mind.
