Working purely in Python

Ever since I met Python, I have loved it very much.
I don't even want to write in other languages.

Question: are there, in principle, such vacancies for which you can work only in this wonderful language?

Only sad news reaches me that python for desktops is * the eleventh most important tool that serves only to write scripts for "older" programs.
Under the web, not only do snake vacancies fade among tons of phish ones, but js is also mixed in with them.

Confirm or refute my conclusions.

On the web, js is required anyway. Although there are a number of companies where layout designers are engaged in js, and if you wish, you can not contact him. But still, for a web developer, knowledge of js is a big plus.

Python workers are more expensive than php workers. who in their right mind would take them, especially in freelancing, where they save on everything?

I work 90% of the time with python, 10% with html/js as wrapping for python scripts. Basically, you have to write various crutches for billing and other internal infrastructure projects. There may not be many purely python vacancies, but there are decent vacancies where you just need to do something, and what will you write on - python or brainfuck, by and large, on the drum.

There is work, and not enough. But it depends on your level - it is often unprofitable to invest in a beginner, plus 10% HTML / JS, as mentioned above - it will. Because without this, the work of the team is extremely inefficient, if in order to correct a banal typo / add a block / correct the format of a variable on the JS-side, you need to pull the layout designer / JS encoder.

There are quite a lot of such vacancies, I sent one in a personal. For freelancing, check out oDesk for example.
Actually, I'm also a pythonist, and I get emails all the time through linkedin, Django Gigs, and other similar sites.

In the same way as most of the vacancies for PHP developers still need in the same bottle of JS, a coder, it’s good if not a helpdesk and a system administrator.
But language specialists are still held in high esteem and will find work. For the vacancies you like, specify, ask. Maybe knowledge of JS is needed only in order to communicate in the same terminology with front-end developers, and you don’t even need to look at this js yourself.

@emironichev

you can also try switching to ruby (in particular, from rails): the language is similar, and the value and demand for specialists is even higher than in python.
