Work in the same subnet via WIFI. How to set up correctly?
Good afternoon. In the kitchen, I want to connect a smart set-top box to the TV, it doesn’t have wifi, I decided to use a second router that will receive Internet via wifi from the main one and I can connect the set-top box itself via cable. A simple solution that immediately came to my mind is to use the second router as a wifi client, but I need the ip addresses to be distributed by the main router, which in turn has addresses starting with 192.168.0.100.
How can I configure the second router so that when DHCP is disabled, it would itself receive an address from the pool of the main router and all devices that will be connected to it via cable also receive addresses from the subnet of the main router?
My main router is TPLink Archer C1200, and as a second router I have a choice of DLink Dir 300 and Dir320.

You just need to disable the DHCP server on the second (client) router, and assign it an IP address manually from the subnet of the first router so as not to lose access.
That's all. The second router, having connected to the first, will work as a bridge, and will transmit DHCP responses from the first router to all its clients on LAN ports, and Wi Fi.
