wordpress not sending notifications
I installed wordpress on phillennium.ru, indicated in the settings that when new comments appear, it should always send a notification about this to the admin mail - it does not send. I googled, read that this happens when an address like [email protected]_site is not created on the hosting, created - does not send. I googled, read about Configure SMTP that solves this problem, installed it, entered the mailbox settings - it does not send. In the same Configure SMTP, instead of the default smtp address, he said to send through an existing gmail box, indicated his login password - everything immediately worked fine. Now I want it to work, but without gmail as a crutch. What could be the problem? Hosting - Infobox.

As practice has shown, letters are actually sent successfully in most cases, they are simply cut by mail.ru and rambler super_antispam_filters. I mostly received emails like this.
The fact is that when sending through standard functions, your real address of the sender and the one delivered will differ. The real one will be your service hosting provider.
Filling in MX records for your hosting helps a little. But again, most likely, mail.ru will be cut.
I found such a solution (a slightly improved analog of your working one) that works 100%: I made myself a google mail for the domain, well, through the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin, I set up sending mail from these gmail boxes.
Here it turns out that users are not afraid, letters come from the site domain, and all mailing lists, notifications, etc., etc. work.
Well, or use not shared, but full-fledged hosting.
First, contact your host. I know from experience that at least 50% of such problems are solved by his technical support.
