Wordpress Multisite - how to connect domains different from the host?

Hello.
There is a host with wp + multi-site + plugin wp mu domain.
The site for the 2nd domain is registered on the host. The 2nd domain in the DNS record contains the IP of the multi-vp host.
The second domain, when entering, gives out a hosting page saying that this site is not registered on such a server.
On the Internet, they say that you need to add some aliases for Apache specifically for this 2nd domain.
Does anyone have experience? How to check it?
