Won money at a hackathon. Do I need to pay tax?

The hackathon was held in the states. The amount is large enough, and in dollars. I am sure that I will not go unnoticed by the tax authorities. Hence the question of whether these funds are taxed. It's not a lottery, it deserved after all. I would rather give a part to charity than to self-promotion of any governors.
UPD.
I think that I have to pay a tax of 13% as for a lottery, and not 35% as for an advertising campaign, because I invested time, without a guarantee of earning something, and time is money, and the lottery clause is more suitable in this case than about advertising promotions that do not require rates (tickets).
If the tax authorities do not agree with me, I will unsubscribe if anyone is interested.

You have to pay, but how much interest depends on how you received this money in Russia. If the bank transfer is to your account of an individual, then try to show the currency control of the bank some kind of agreement, which is sort of like payment for work, then 13%. If they consider winning in competitions or the like, then 35%. Another thing is that if this is an isolated case of such a transfer to your account, then who might be interested in it? there, I'm afraid, there won't be enough for business cards for the governor, let alone for self-promotion :)
