I need to create a small visual application for Linux: a form with text fields for entering information, drop-down lists, checkboxes, buttons.
Many years ago I made a GUI application for Windows in Borland Builder, it was very simple, the visual editor and a set of ready-made components helped a lot in this matter.
Are there analogues for developing GUI applications in Python or Java so that the application runs under Linux (Ubuntu)? I would really appreciate a Tutorial, in the style of how to make a GUI calculator for Linux.
