Windows 7 x32 only starts in safe mode after the update, what should I do?

There are no backups / archives, reinstalling is not an option for a number of reasons, updates are not deleted.
There is a virtual one on the VMware ESXi hypervisor

Do you have shadow copies? Was system protection enabled?

If you start in safe mode already well, go to the control panel - programs and components - view installed updates
and delete everything, by the date after which problems appeared
in win10, there is even a special wizard for this that allows you to cancel the update, even if it is a revision change.
Restore points are always made when installing each update, driver and even application, though you could disable them forcibly, this is in the system properties - system protection
ps and what does the log say?
