On fresh Windows 7 SP1, "update agent 7.6.7600.320" is installed and that's it.
After that, the regular update tools do not work anymore, the update agent loads one processor at 100%. What I just did not try, all the methods that I found (fix update .... ), nothing helps.
On fresh Windows 7, without updates, everything works until the installation of SP1 and the new agent.
Not otherwise, MS tweaked something in connection with the release of Windows 10. Before that, everything was fine many times.
It started just 1-2 months ago.

I’ll add on my own that it’s convenient to diagnose the presence of a problem by observing the loading of the processor core by the svchost.exe process when searching for updates. If successful, the kernel should load the ThrustedInstaller process. Personally, I use the updates from the list above, and put the simplix update package on top.
