Win 10 update killed hard drive. Why did this happen?

Given: a laptop with a Seagate ST1000LM014-1EJ164, Debian was installed on it (the first priority for GRUB) and Windows 10.
Recently, a Win update came in, and the laptop automatically started updating in the middle of the night, during the update process, a reboot occurred, and Linux started. In the morning, noticing the laptop turned on, I logged out of Linux to continue installing the update. After that, the BIOS stopped seeing the bootloader, and emitted short beeps for about thirty seconds (I confess, I didn’t count exactly how many signals), the disk itself stopped giving adequate signs of life.
The BIOS detects the disk every other time. If you run the Linux / Win installer, then it does not detect the disk. Linux also does not see the disk from a bootable USB flash drive, but if the tench goes into sleep mode, then after waking up the disk is mounted in Read-only mode. SMART of the disk shows OK everywhere, all partitions are displayed correctly, but neither formatting nor getting data from the disk is possible.
Also, if during the installation of Win the disk is connected "hot", it will be detected and after a ten-minute blunt it will show all partitions, but the installer will not be able to format or delete partitions - after a few minutes of waiting, "Error: 0x8007045d" appears.
How exactly did the update break the disk, is it possible to somehow restore this disk and in which Sportloto write about it ?

Try to boot from the Windows installation disk, enter the OS recovery mode with the command line and the diskpart utility, look at the status and drive letter, then run chkdsk % drive letter%: / F / R
If it doesn’t help, then the live disk and victoria hdd.

Win 10 update killed hard drive. Why did this happen?
Updating is a banal writing and reading of data. It cannot kill the disk.
If your disk has already fallen, then the situation is not surprising. When writing a large amount of data, it crumbled completely.
It is necessary to monitor the SMART disk and change disks in a timely manner if the status is not normal.
Is there any way to recover this disk?
Of course no. Only throw out the faulty disk or disassemble it into magnets.
If we are talking about data recovery - give it to specialists, there is a fairly high probability of data recovery, although this is not cheap.

It's probably just a coincidence
