Will Ubuntu boot normally?

Good day.
Is it worth it to split the SSD 128 for Ubuntu and Win and how much does it cost to allocate for the first one for programming?
Aser 7560G: AMD A8-3500M 1.5-2.4 GHz, AMD Radeon HD 6740G2 1GB, 8GB RAM, SSD 128
Also, if you install it on a MacBook Pro as a second OS, will the warranty expire and will it work in general?
