Will this PC handle virtual machines?

Iron:
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K
GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX590
RAM: 16Gb (2x8Gb DDR4 2400MHz)
SSD: 128Gb
HDD1: Ttb
HDD2: 1Tb

For a long time I can not deploy virtual machines on this computer. I have already tried everything - I ran stress tests on the hardware, and power tests, and hibernation, and shutdown, and even transferred from VMware to Hyper -V. But the result is the same. Everything works, but if the virtual machines do not turn on for a long time, then the system gives an error: "The file \Windows\System32\Config\SYSTEM is damaged" and does not start anymore. At the same time, before rebooting the virtual machine host, you can reboot as many times as you like and everything works. And then errors appear in virtual machines and in the end they stop loading.

Can you please tell me if my PC can handle virtual machines at all? If yes, what OS can be as a guest? The host must be Windows.

@rPman

did you test the memory?

if the virtual machine is NOT turned on for a long time?
and where exactly does he write the error, in the guest system in the virtual machine or the host system?
if the file on the host system is corrupted, maybe that's the way it is? SYSTEM is a registry to
repair a file (I don’t know how) or at least restore from a backup
for a test, put a clean host system, pick up a virtual machine there and drive, another day, i.e. get the problem.
your iron is more than suitable for the operation of a virtual machine with support for hardware virtualization.

What goals should
virtual machines perform? You can use docker under windows or wsl2.
