Well, in general, you can upload a sketch to this board, turning it into a kind of programmer for Atmel microcontrollers, but I would advise you to buy a programmer in a store.

An MK is built into it, this is a black square chip, here you can, so you only need this board and a USB cable, but no other MK will work instead, and even if you buy an MK of the same model, but a new one, and solder it, then it will be "clean" and it will not work either, first you have to "flash" it on a "full-fledged" programmer.
