Will there be problems with the GDPR if the Delay App Measurement checkbox is not checked in AdMob for Unity?

Hello! There is one question about Unity in conjunction with AdMob.
Recently updated the AdMob plugin for the unit to the current version (5.2.0). A lot of new things appeared in the settings there, including the "Delay App Measurement" checkbox in Assets->GoogleMobileAds->Settings
unity_gma_inspector_delay_app_measuremen

Hereit is written that if the checkbox is not set, AdMob starts sending user data immediately after the application is launched, even before obtaining permission to provide personal data (EU consent). In this case, do I understand correctly that if my application is published worldwide, without country restrictions in the developer console, I must check this box? Since otherwise, this leads to a violation of the GDPR, because if the game is published to the whole world, a user from the European Economic Area can download it and his data will be sent to Google servers even before permission to provide them?

How did you act in this situation? Did you tick? I read on the net that for some, after setting the "delay to provide data" for the metric, the data is no longer collected at all ... No one had similar problems?

How did you act in this situation?

I try to initialize the minimum number of third-party libraries before the adoption of the GDPR. And it is mandatory to ensure that before the GDPR, the data is anonymized.
This is not specific to the admob - it's basically a common practice. So yes, check the box and initialize with your hands - it’s not very scary for the advertising grid - it’s not analytics
