Actually the essence of the question is clear, on the 28xx series and other antiquities, will the USB-RJ cord work or do you need someone? logically, the connections should be purple, but who knows what they invented there))

It doesn't matter what the lace will be: the old blue one or the newfangled blue one. That is rs-232 9pin - rs232 rj45 or USB - rs232 rj45. In fact, the latter is just a converter to rs232. So any of these cables will work. The only question is whether your operating system will understand the new USB - rs232 cable right away or you will have to look for drivers.
