Will the American iPad Air work on our cellular networks?

I want to buy an iPad Air refurbished on Amazon . I would like to take with a cellular communication module. Offered for US carriers: AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile. Will they work with Russian sim cards? Tried googling, but couldn't find anything.
Bonus: Has the battery been replaced on refurbished units?

Most likely it will be, I once bought an ipad 3 in Russia, it turned out to be a variant from the window, it only downloads firmware for verizon, otherwise there are no differences, it is friends with a sim card with a bang.
