Will local authentication work on Kyocera MFPs on MacOS computers?
We are planning to purchase a Kyocera color printer or MFP. The management wants to delimit the functionality so that everything is not printed in color, only from a couple of computers. The instructions indicate that you can create local users on the MFP, and give them permission / prohibition for color printing. Also there are authentication settings on Windows. But will it work on macOS? If yes, how to set up? Or, perhaps, set up a ban on color printing for a guest account, and a separate account with allowed color printing, and configure the necessary PCs under it?

You can set up differentiation by creating local users, but only a prerequisite will be the installation of special software from the Kyocera off site (Kyocera Documents Solution or something like that). Authentication is configured only from this program, since in the MacOS settings there is simply nowhere to enter credentials for authentication on the printer. Please note that Kyocera Documents Solution uses the KPDL driver and cannot be used with AirPrint/Bonjour (the standard Image Capture scanning application on MacOS, for example, will no longer work).
