No. This course is not designed for this. Previously, when the initial lessons were free, there was advice to go through the beginning and take other courses. Now it is better to study the basics of Java in other courses. (IMHO)
For android, it's better to take courses on Udacity. there are some very good courses there. If there are problems with English, then even on subtitles they will be useful.

Java is used in android, but java alone is not enough. And that basic course, as I understand it, will give only basic knowledge.
