Will a ransomware virus encrypt files on a Linux samba server?

In the light of recent events about WannaCry, the question arose whether it is possible to protect against an encryptor virus by backing up a 1c file share / database to a remote server on a network running linux with a Samba server on board + with password access?

If Windows has any kind of write access to a certain resource, this resource can be considered risky in any case.
You need to backup the contents of such a resource to a place that is not accessible from Windows. Anyway, for the record. If the backup is automatic - have several copies of varying degrees of freshness. Just so that the backup is not overwritten with encrypted files.

No you can't because Samba is also vulnerable to EternalBlue:
